I found a 2006 MDX Touring with 24K miles with Nav and DVD for $27,900 to replace the 2003 I totaled last week. The only problem is that it's silver and black and I don't want those colors.

Should I suck it up or wait until I can find a red one which is what I really want.

Thoughts? Thanks.

Thanks seems like a great deal to me. We just bought a loaded 2005 with 30k miles on it for $28,400 and that was from a broker. Plus it needed 4 new tires and a 30k mile service. I would get it if it's in goo d condition.

That sounds look a good deal. If you have to time search around for a deal on a red one, i think it will be worth the wait. This is a vehicle you will have around for awhile, so why not get the color you want.

Well, I pulled the trigger and bought it today. The kicker is that I got it for $26990!!

It's LOADED with Nav, RES, 24K miles, Acura serviced, pristine inside and out. http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.j...ice=&cardist=30

I figured if the black interior is still a problem in the next few weeks, I'll take it to CarMax and sell it. I know it will bring at least 30K or more.

So did you get a better deal on it? The posted price is the same you paid... ???

she paid a grand less than what she originally posted. I actually bought my 06' (silver and black) base model new for $30k out the door as nav and dvd wasn't doing a thing for me.

I think $27k is a nice deal for it all tricked out and the low miles. I was getting quotes of $28k plus from Honda dealers trying to sell me decked out year old Pilots with 20k or so miles which is what got me to jump on the 06 MDX for $30k. I have a portable GPS now that I don't even use so it reinforced the decision not to go with it.

I like the silver and black combo even if it is a little common. The green was my first choice, but I couldn't find one anywhere. The black interior just looks nice against the wood dash.

No, but on the advertisment it was showing the $26,990 price. So did she pay that sticker price. Still sounds like a pretty good deal.

ahh...didn't click on the link.

I would say it was a very good deal.

Well, as the saying goes, if it looks too good to be true... :(

It turns out the car had been wrecked!! I took it to my local Acura dealership to have it checked out and I was so glad I did. I was LIVID considering it had a clean carfax and was supposedly certified.

The good news was that surprisingly they gave me my money back. There was a guy sitting in it when I left the dealership. I hope he wasn't a sucker too.

So, I am back in the market AGAIN! UGH.

Sorry to hear that. Yea, Carfax is no sure bet. I had a Honda Accord that had 3 front end accidents, and none of them ever showed up on the report. I heard even some major damaged cars go unreported.

Well good luck in your hunt! You should try and find a certified Acura. They are usually previously leased vehicles.

Well, I finally replaced my totalled MDX with a Sage Brush Pearl/Gray 2005 Touring with Nav and RES. It's Acura certified with cargo mat and cover for $25000! It's got 34000 miles on it and I am so excited!

It seems a good deal. I paid $22.5k for my 04 MDX loaded with 66500 miles. See here: http://www.acuramdx.org/forums/show...&threadid=32192

Wow, nice! Congrats on the new ride! Sage Brush is a nice color.

Congratulations on your new ride. You will love it. The Acura Care warranty will bring you peace of mind.

I didn't think Acura would certify a car that was wrecked. Well, at least you found out before the sale became final. Congrats on the new ride!
