Hi
Can some one confirm Bulb size for a 2003 MDX Touring, Sylvania site shows 9006 but when I check the size on the vehicle its 9005, I am a little confused. BTW I am looking for Low Beam bulb size.

Thanks for the info, I tried getting 9006 from this link and when I tried installing it does not fit. The original buld on MDX says 9005, little confused?

BTW, I bought mine AUG-2003 and according to the VIN number its 2003 (you think there is a 2003 1/2 model)

That is strange. Even if you converted to the 04-06 MY's, that would be H11. Hmm...
Silly question: you sure you're not changing the high beams instead? |

Good thought, dj! Lows are the outermost (i.e. closest to the parking lamps) of the two bulbs. |

| Yea, maybe he has the wrong section of the headlight housing and is looking at the high beams. Maybe someone switched the low beam and high beam wires? :confused: |

Yes I am sure I am looking at the low beam (closest to the indicators). I have owned this since 2003 (bought new) so no wires changing etc. I have also noticed that when I check the original bulb it says 9005.

Are both the lows printed as 9005s? Check the highs and see if they have the same notches in them for installation that your low "9005"s have. I am wondering if the printing on the bulb base is smudged or something. |

Well we can clearly see 9005 printed on them. I am in Princeton, NJ. I will try to get a photo of the original bulb tonight and post it.

| I dont think anyone is doubting you that its a 9005. If I were closer, I would of like to check it out. Since you are the first owner, there shouldnt be any worries about someone else hacking into it. Its probably alot simpler than we think. |

Hi Guys, sorry for all the questions, after taking to the seller I got the correct replacement, I could install them but they would turn less then a quater of what they are supposed to but they seem to be secure (what do I know, this is my first time trying).
Now am stuck in placing the ballast's, What is the best place to put them in?
