New MDX owner. First Acura. Picked up my Sterling Silver tech in January. Three weeks ago I noticed a clicking and popping noise coming from the rear of the car on braking. It spent two weeks at the dealer until they advised me that it was a problem with the bushings on the lower control arms. Acura apparently has a new part coming out for replacement in April.
Anyone have experience with this? What did Acura do to compensate for the inconvenience and annoyance. This is a brand new car! |

| ...a warranty issue and Acura, apparently, is designing a fix. Should be installed under the warranty. As far as compensation for annoyance, aggravation, trouble, gray hair, FORGET IT!! Get a loaner vehicle while the repair is being made. Get documentation of all work done. Hope that it fixes the problem. Let us know how it goes...... |

Hopefully you will get a few more answers there as well.

I had my lower control arm bushing replaced back in December and the noise is back as of today.
I guess the fix is not permanent so hopefully whatever is promised for next month will work better.
I will contact Acura again and re-open my original case since I was under the impression my problem was solved and let the case close. |

how loud is the clicking? and when does it happen?
i have noticed kind of like a rumbling/low level puttering in the front, but it normally only happens after the car has been sitting for awhile (like overnight, and then as I drive down the street in the morning I hear it). But then once the car is warmed up a bit more, I don't notice it.
Is this similiar? |

If the radio is on you might not hear it.
It is subtle but there. It occurs when you brake and come to a complete stop. Afterwards you will hear the click as you begin to accelerate.
If you do not hear this type of noise, this issue does not apply in your case. |
