After a transmission service (fluid and filter change), check engine came on two days later. Brought the vehicle back, and was informed the torque converter solenoid and the forth-gear solenoid were bad. Had the solenoids replaced. Check engine came on again few days later with faulty code on 4th gear solenoid (again). Another 4th-gear solenoid was replaced (tech thought the first one was a defective from the dealer). For just a few days, again check engine came on with faulty code on the torque converter solenoid (???). This time, the tech thought it was the filter. He replaced a new filter and fluid from Acura dealership. The vehicle was fine for about a week. We thought everything was back to normal. But, boom, again check engine came on yesterday. Will take the vehicle back this weekend. This vehicle is making me and the tech crazy.
Also, RMP was intermitly jumping up and down like crazy, even at idle. Did not show faulty code on the RMP jumping, but was informed by the tech that could be the RPM control sensor. Everything just happens at the same time after the transmission service.

I'm having the same problems. The car seems to be in some sort of LIMP mode hitting a low 3krpm rev limiter.
How much did the repairs cost you? |
