Hi guys,
Got an 01 with 98,000 and you know the black rubber strips that run on the outside bottom or base of the all the windows, mine are badly faded where the paint or black is nearly gone and u can see metalic metal underneath. I went to dealer and it is about $22 per rail to replace with new ones and u have to remove inside of door panel to get to them. Has anyone alse had this deteioration occur and how did u correct it?
I was wondering if you could just take them off or tape them off and spray paint them . You see them everything you grab for your door handle.
I am coming up on my big 105 thousand mile tune up and will probably keep my MDX for a few moere years and hoping after investing in it that I don`t have transmission problems. I may replace my 20 inch DUB wheels/tires with my OEM ones due to the price of gas. I only get about 13-14 miles per gallon around town and 17-18 on the highway. |
