I'm thinking of buying one of those portable battery jumper/booster. Anyone can recommend any good ones? I need something cheap but reliable since I go out of state often. Which amp should be good enough? 300? 400? 450?
Thanks in advance. |

| Just get some jumper cables. :p I traveled many miles and never needed a jump in 10 years. Do you just want it for emergency use or will this booster get alot of use? |

One of those $50 ones from Costco was good enough for me. I jumped my MDX with it many times (kept putting off returning crappy Kirkland battery to Costco and buying a Duralast with the refund) and I only charged it once every three months at the most.
The one I have has an air compressor. I think the slightly more expensive one they stock now has an inverter so you have also have an AC power source. |

I like the ones with an inverter. The ones at COSTCO/SAMS have all seemed good. I bought one many years ago. Have replaced the internal battery once with Interstate replacement.
The inverter comes in handy.
