I have approx 23000 highway miles , my pads have hardly any wear,
I have a shimmy in the wheel when braking at highway speeds, I assume the rotors are warped, I also hope the dealer doesn't charge me for a brake job, my 2005 mdx went 60 k before needing
brake pads and no rotor issues at all, my lug nuts are hand tightened with a torque wrench. |

it could be possible that you have some debris lodged between your pad and rotor, or your pad has somehow worn unevenly. try cleaning your rotor/pad off with brake cleaner, or try bedding the pads in by making a few controlled, high-speed stops. |

Try this:
Take out your pads.
Thoroughly clean the caliper and piston, and the rear of the pads.
Flat sand your pads with sandpaper.
Do the same to your rotors.
Properly lube your pads and re-install.
Bet that solves it.
Most times when your rotor is "warped" the rotor itself is fine, especially if you haven't been abusing it.
Properly bedding the pads / brakes deposits a layer of the brake pad material evenly on the disc. It is the bite between the pad and the pad material on the disc which stops the car. When this layer gets uneven, this is usually responsible for the chatter you feel. |

Myth # 1 – BRAKE JUDDER AND VIBRATION IS CAUSED BY DISCS THAT HAVE BEEN WARPED FROM EXESSIVE HEAT.
In fact every case of "warped brake disc" that I have investigated, whether on a racing car or a street car, has turned out to be friction pad material transferred unevenly to the surface of the disc. This uneven deposition results in thickness variation (TV) or run-out due to hot spotting that occurred at elevated temperatures.

| I would take it back to the dealer. I had that issue with my 03 at 25K miles and since the pads were still at 75%, they cut the rotors free of charge. Just ask the service writer that if they find that the rotors are warped and the pads are still relatively new, wouldn't it be covered under the warranty? |
