I couldn't find this on the search, but I need you guys' help with some information about the stock seats you have in the MDX.

I went to a show today and sat in a MDX and all I will say is Wow. Those are some really comfortable seats, and they weren't even broke in.

What I am attempting to do is swap my front bucket seats out in my Canyon for a set of MDX stock leathers if the dimensions are right.

I need to know the bottom cushion width (center console to door) and depth (front of car to back) as well as the width of the back of the bucket at it's widest point(most likely shoulder area).

Thanks for any help you guys can lend me.

Thanks for the help!

One other question...

What model years have the same style seats? I sat in an 08 and loved those.

Do the 01-07 have the same seats?

The '07 and '08 are the 2nd Gen MDX and have the same seats.

Once again, thanks for the help guys...

Very, very bad idea. Unless you like seats that aren't designed to perform the same way in the crash tests as the ones that were designed in your car.

It's not necesarily a bad idea. If done correctly, it could be a perfectly fine modification.

Half-a**ing it and doing crap mounts, on the other hand, is a very very bad idea.

If you want to argue that point, then anything you put on a vehicle that is aftermarket could be a bad idea because it wasn't on there when they crash tested it. Granted this is one of the more dangerous modifactions because it's what holds you in the car, but you get what I mean.

Thanks for the input though...
