Here in Salt Lake City, Utah there are two Acura dealers. Both are high priced and try to make you think your getting the best deal. I walked away from both these rip offs. They also did not have what we were asking for and consistently tried to sell us an MDX from their inventory. They also told us that nobody could beat their price? Yea right, I beat it by $2500 without even leaving home!
Here is what I did, I email every Acura dealer from the east coast to the west coast (over 60) and told them what I wanted. I got a response back from about 40. Most did not have want we wanted and I told them sorry. Two dealers did have exactly what we were looking for. One in Boston and the other in Ventura, CA. I worked with both of these dealers and got both of them down to just above invoice (one about 600 and the other about 800 above). We took the one from Ventura as it was closer and we have family in Thousand Oaks, CA. They dealership picked us up at the airport.
We took no other options, but I did order them from another Acura dealer after pitting 2 of them against each other and got all my options delivered for about $1200 (see sig).
Now the best deals we found were all in Texas. There were 3 dealers who will sell at invoice all day long, but for us they could not get what we wanted within a reasonable amount of time. But if your looking try the dealers in TX first!
I learned a valuable lesson and will always search the whole country for my next car.

So then what was the cost to fly to cali and then drive back to Utah?

We had some free plane tickets and the cost to drive back was just the gas we used.
The hard combo was the interior color, Parchment and Formal Black exterior. Then add the Sport/Ent package and we only found 2 in the US. Some dealers said they had that combo on order but would not get them until late June/July. |

| that's the same color combo that we were looking for in the sport/ent package. however after seeing the parchment interior, my wife decided that she wanted the taupe. luckily one of the dealers in my area had one that was coming in and we snatched that up for about 600 over invoice with 2.9 for 60 months |
