Hi guys! I was browsing through the forums lastnight and I stumbled upon some pics of the underbody an 04 (?) MDX with rust in some of the areas, so I went and checked my X and sure enough there's some rust most notably where the wheel connects to the suspension (?). Other than that, I didnt see any rusting that I should be concerned about. Have you guys checked your 07/08 X's lately?:)

You mean like this ....

Unsightly but normal, especially if you live in the snow / road salted areas.

There are also traces of rust (?, I thought they were stainless) on my muffler and exhaust so I spray painted them black. They actually look much better now.

Even stainless steel exhaust will surface rust especially when exposed to heat and salt, but it won't rust through like regular grade steel. Also normal for cast iron suspension and brake components to surface rust.
G. COLTON
Just like other things.

RUST HAPPENS!!

that's exactly what I saw lastnight! Thanks eujinc for posting the pic. Anyways, I hosed the underbody and the wheels (inside & out) to make sure any salt that's left under there would melt away, then I drove the X! Now I can rest...:2:
