Has anyone experienced this. Driving me crazy.
any possible causes?
Its followed by a second clunk about 2 sec later and that all for the time until i shut car off again. The if a accelerate again after startup, same clunking sequence. |

If this happens only once after starting, it's very likely the ABS self-diagnostic. About 50 feet after you start rolling, the anti-lock brakes valves activate one at a time to verify they're working.
It's a feature, not a bug. |

| I have the same issue in my 2008 MDX. When I pull out about a good 50 feets I feel clunking at the pedal. So it's just ABS. Thanks. |

Thanks shootist. Are you certain though this is ABS. Have you confirmed that with ACURA or is there a website i can see where they've told that. Just want to be certain. I do drive for about 40-50 ft when i firts here it and then again about another 30 ft. and that it. I hope its only that.

Of course you do. All MDX's go through the ABS diagnostic. |
