| 2004 MDX and the passenger mirror is not returning to preset location all the time. It stops at different positions all the time, after backing, as if the mirror is getting hung up. Possibly corroded connections to the mirror motor? Any input appreciated. |

I just had both mirrors on my '05 replaced (under warranty) for this exact same problem. When we would use the seat memory, the mirror would go to the correct position vertically but would not index correctly on the horizontal axis. They ended replacing both mirror motor assemblies and the seat memory control unit in the driver's seat.
If you can manually move the mirror about smoothly on all axis, then it probably isn't the motor itself so much as the seat memory control module.
Does this only happen on the back-up tilt-down feature, or will it also happen on the seat memory feature? |
