| I'm new to this forum. 2001 MDX touring. Bought new. 120,000 miles. Great car. Acura has replaced the trans. at 95K miles, works great. I have a gentle shake in the steering wheel at approx. 30 to 40 mph, then it goes away as I gain speed. There are so many parts in the front end. Tires are Kumho Solus KH16 with 25K miles. Any thoughts on what might cause this shake,or how to narrow it down? Thanks. |

| With the symptoms described, my first guess would be that the tires are out of balance or cupped. Try a balance and rotate to see if the sound persists or moves to different wheel. |

| Welcome to the forum! As Ceenit said, check the tires. |

Thanks for the responses. More info based upon your replys. Tires were rotated & balanced approx. 1,700 miles ago then I drove 1500 miles on a 2 day trip. Wheel balance was good, no steering wheel shaking vibration at 70 typical speed. I checked for cupping, none.
I did not have this low milage steering wheel shaking prior to that rotate & balance. Could just the current two front tires be the problem? Could the tires inner belts be somehow broken down? I could just rotate the tires back and live with them until time to replace? What do you think. |

Can't hurt to try that, it cold help troubleshoot the problem. |
