Hi guys, great forum you have here. I just received a new MDX w/ tech pkg. What an SUV this is! I have never driven an SUV that drives so much like a sports car. The handling of a 4600 lb SUV says great things of the Acura brand today.
anyway, on to the pictures!

I also have another Acura in the garage...

| thanks guys, I love this car so much. the only downside is really the fuel economy...I guess it has to be expected from a large SUV. I've only been getting around 13mpg lately...which is pretty pathetic. Oh well, at least it is comfortable and smooth to drive. ;) |

| there are few people on this forum who were getting 8 mpg...you are still way better off :) |

Welcome to the MDX family and congrats. Dont worry abut the mileage, you will see an improvement in it once the engine sets in (around 3K). Mine was giving me 14 initially and it it went up close to 16 now (3k on my car now).
Enjoy your ride.... dont let other stuff worry you... :) |

It is rather strange, my TL is an '04 also. I know for sure that he does not live in my subdivision, however. I do see a million MDX's around my area...probably have run into ya before. |

I would like to thank everyone that has posted such a wealth of valuable information, from buying hints to leather care.
I test drove an RDX first then: Edge, RX350, 09 Forester, CRV and also visited Saturn, Infiniti, Lincoln and Mazda for a look see.
I really wanted the RDX but when I could not hold a conversation with the salesman without my voice warbling, it did not seem like an ideal general purpose vehicle. (plus, the turbo boost gauge was like the voice from Little Shop of Horrors saying "Feed me! I'm hungry!"
Rented the Edge on a MI business trip. I like the acceleration. It will go 70 in a 65 zone, as it cost me $80 to find out --and the trooper was being kind. Since glare was an issue, all dashboards now are black on the 08, so even a grey interior is two tone. All black was a sea of bland. Sync was nice, but I can push a button. At $36.7k for a Limited I was only $4k from the Acura MDX Tech. One would think the MDX resale should more than erase that.
There are a lot of RX350s on the road in CT, plus I'm 6'2 and (although not as bad as the Infiniti EX) I like looking through the center of the windshield not the top third.
The 09 Forester was really promising, but would need an "Evil Conservative" bumper sticker to prevent it from steering itself automatically to Yale (Read the Jalopnik reviews!)
The CRV EX-L was my engineering )and kidney's) best hope for an RDX substitute. It corners the market on the word "Practical."
I started praying for the curse of being an engineer to be lifted and today, three days later, we sold a huge fountain project and 91 octane seems less intimidating.
Acura of Milford CT adds an extra 6 months of warranty
We get the MDX is a few days. Free at last. |
