| I have been looking at different manufacturers floor mats and was wondering what you guy's are using and how they look and fit. I live in northern Canada where we have 6 months of winter, lots of salt and sand on our roads so I am looking for some mats that have really good protection. |

I'm using the OEM all-weather mats front and back. They fit perfectly (as they should, seeing as how they're OEM), and seem to do the job they're supposed to. Even though I have the regular mats, I don't use them since having a toddler and an indifferent wife means that the all-weather ones see active duty year round.

| I have the OEM all weather mats that I got from Tim back in '02, and they have held up extremely well. |

I would recommend Husky Floor Liners or WeatherTech Floor Mats. They provide excellent protection and come in colors to match your MDX. |

| I have the OEM ones. I was surprised to see how well Randy's Husky fits his MDX, it's like custom made, very nice. |

| +1 for the Huskys.:29: |
|

| All OEM, +1 OEM cargo tray, & +1 all season (driver's side only). Makes sense to me since I'm the only one in my car 90% of the time. |

weathertech. be warned that they are 1) expensive for not being 'custom fit' to the MDX and 2) weathertech has possibly the worst customer service I've had the misfortune of dealing with recently.
In every ad they run - and they do like those multipage spreads - pics show the mats fitting perfectly in every vehicle they show them in. They don't.
Would I buy them again ? Not if I can find a similar hard plastic, raised lip type of mat. |

In the past, I've used WeatherTech All-Weather Floor Mats in my MDX. They are designed to be trimmed so that they may be customized to fit almost any vehicle. WeatherTech Floorliners are more custom fit. I upgraded my WeatherTech Floor Mats to Husky Floorliners. The Husky's are custom fit and match the Saddle interior of my MDX perfectly. I also like the one piece design of the second row mat. They have protected my carpet from dirt and liquids well. :4: |

| I have the OEM rubber all seasons but they seems a bit flimsy, they are not thick and rugged as the one's that the TL and RL have, and also the rubber is damaged easily when washed. Overall, I think they are ok for the price, just don't wash them every week and your good. |

Sorry - the floorliners are what I have.
From their website: quote: Digital laser measurements of interior surfaces offer a consistently perfect fit!
well, I can tell you that their laser needs to be calibrated! The left side of the mat is raised up a good 2 inches away from the drivers side door sill. Passenger side fits alot better, but Im not driving from that side of the car. Emailed them about it, got a standard call our customer care at 1-800 .... called, put on hold, then spoke with someone who just didn't seem to care that their 'laser fit' product didn't.

I can understand your disappointment and frustration with WeatherTech. Maybe it's time to go with the Husky Floor Liners. They fit and color match the MDX perfectly. |

I have the Acura all-weather mats in the front. I use them because the are embossed "MDX" and I otherwise forget what kind of a vehicle I'm driving.
I don't use rubber mats in the rear. I make guests take off their shoes and wash their feet before entering. |

I have been using the Acura rubber mats since the car was new both front and back.
With a 5 year old and 21 month old the back mat has saved the carpet many times.
They are wearing fine but the light gray does get pretty dirty and they are hard to clean, but they are floor mats.
The original carpeted mats are someplace in my garage...... |

Hi
If it wasn't for the "Northern Canada" bit, I'd say go with the OEM mats. I have the black set in my Sterling Grey/Ebony X, and they look great. I have only washed them once, but in general I really like them... and they DO remind me that I'm driving my X (just in case middle age kicks in and I relapse into thinking I'm still in my Golf GTi!)
But, having spent a fair number of years (4) in the North (Edmonchuk), I would say the Husky's look a better bet. I don't think the OEM set would handle the amount of slush that happen's up there (and they have the (slightly raised) holes for hooking in...)
Just my 2c!

Sterling I agree with you completely on them needing to re-calibrate their laser. The driver's side on my set has the large gap between the mat and the door, and the passenger side is at least tolerable. I never tried calling them to complain, but I think I will try, although I've had them for a few months.
They were damn expensive to fit this shabbily on the driver's side. The fit everywhere else is acceptable, but the driver's side is really getting on my nerves. I should have gone with the Huskys. :( |

| Thanks for the Husky recommendation! I just ordered a set for the front for my 03. I have WeatherTech carpeted ones which I have really liked, but they are starting to get a hole in them from heel wear. I like how the Huskys extend all the way above the dead pedal. It won't look as classy as the carpeted ones but should provide better protection. |

| Don't want to hijack the thread - but I'm not happy with the OEM carpet mats. The MDX logo has already come off the drivers side - only glued on instead of embroidered. Anyone bought non-OEM carpet mats for the MDX? I have parchment - how did color match? Thanks. |

| I went OEM all weather all around, including the cargo tray. Fit well and do exactly as they should. I looked around before I got them and the OEMs seemed to be the best. Maybe a few dollars more, but worth it. |

Strange. I have weathertech floor liners in my '07 and they fit PERFECTLY. Had them 2 days after order, no issues. |

I haven't found any to match a taupe interior. :( If I've missed it and somebody has seen them, let me know.
I also live in Canada and I've got the Acura all weather set and although the colour matches nice, I could do with more side to side coverage and COVERAGE UNDER THE ACCELERATOR!! What was Acura thinking? The mat does NOT go up under the accelerator so all the slush and snow melts off your shoes onto the carpet under the accelerator! Stupid, stupid on their part.
I had the Husky liners in our Escape and I pulled them out to clean the Escape before selling it and the carpet underneath looked new (and I hadn't pulled those liners out for over 3 years!). My MDX already has dirty carpet under the accelerator from the poor design. :( I'd get the Husky liners again if they made them in taupe. |
