Is there a setting that you can keep the rear a/c from turning 'on' each time you start up?
I always start the car, then reach back and fumble to find the 'off' button.
I ran through the settings and the manual and did not see anything about this.
Hope I missed something obvious, as I think it must be a slight waste of gas to have it on when nobody is back there! |

I think that you may be able to put a switch on the power wire back there to have it off until the switch is flipped. |

When I first got the car I thought the off feature was something I really needed and was annoyed it does not exist.
After 15 months, I have no issues with the back blowing air since it is a large cabin and helps to keep the inside nice and comfy. |

Perhaps, this is the way the auto is supposed to keep the temp within one degree of the setting per their ad.
I also found this irritating and felt warm/cold air on my right elbow/arm when rested on the center console.
What cannot be cured must be endured...its a major issue for us non-techies to put switches and stuff.

| it is designed that way so the entire cabin stays cool and eases the compressor. Same thing if some idiot opens a bedroom window while you have the Central AC on. All that does is allow all that cool air to escape thus working your compressor and your NRG bill! |

Thanks, everyone.
Makes sense why they may not have allowed that feature. |
