As I approach 100,000 miles, the owners manual suggests replacing the timing belt. I inquired at the dealership about it, and was told that they charge $950. Seems pretty high to me, but I have no idea what is involved. They said that as part of the service, they replace the water pump. So, two questions...
1) Is this a reasonable price?, and
2) For any of you in Mass, do you know of an independant shop that can perform this service?
