Any recommendation or what's a good brand or method to have it done? I've seen very crappy ones on the street numerous times.
I need to replace a cracked taillight, so I plan on using it to practice tinting. I've seen good results using VHT "Nightshades," followed by some clearcoat on other cars. I think the process involves thoroughly prepping the taillight, by using dishwashing liquid to get off any grime/wax, then using rubbing alcohol to wipe off any remaining residue. Once the surface is clean, you can wetsand using very fine sandpaper, and then cleaning the surface off again with rubbing alcohol. The surface must be absolutely clean before applying thin light coats of the tint...apply multiple coats as necessary and then clearcoat after everything is dry. |
