I'll post this when I get home today, if no one reply to the post.
BTW, if you log in to Acura Owner's online you can download electronic copy of the owners manual that has all the code break down listed. But it doesn't tell you at which interval what combination of code will be throw at you. I guess its all computer/sensor calculated of what need to be changed. |

| Has anyone else's dealer told them the car has regular 15,000 mile scheduled maintenance? Every time I go in, I get some hassle about missing my scheduled maintenance. I tell them that the manual does not indicate a need for the 15k schedule; that you do what the codes indicate. The dealer said Acura issued an "update" that the car should be on the 15k schedule. Anyone else get this? If it is true, I have never received any notification from Acura. |

Sounds like a holdout from the pre-MID days. |

No, I think the service person either has info that owner don't even know about or they did not complete their MDX training course. 15,000 interval are the old standard before all these maintenance monitor were put in place. My dealer won't even provide maintenance service unless I insist on doing so when service indicator did not come up. |

| 2 mths ago I took my mdx in for inspection and service. This morning I saw the "maintenance req'd" light is on. Can someone tell me what this may mean. I have like 40000 miles and the car is hardly driven. thnx |

First off, welcome to the forum. You're in the wrong section, though, as the older gen X did not have a MID with codes. Maintenance minders can mean ANYTHING from oilchange to tire rotation to ATF change. Best to look in your manual for what is recommended at 40K. If you took it in for service 2 months ago, what exactly was done? It may just mean the reminder was not reset at the time. |
