Why is so? do you have an experience for MDX application? I can still cancel the order as it is on back ordered. |

I purchase after Market brakes at pep boys and then at the Tire rack (Hawk HPS). Both model’s Very Noisy and dusty. The hawk brakes do not have the holes to install the clips. Finale I decided to purchase Acura brakes what a different, felt like when I first brought the car.
When it comes to brakes and rotors you should always buy originals.
I live in New York City and Manhattan Acura Wanted $89.00 for front brake’s and $130.00 for the rotor’s.
Where I brought my MDX Park Avenue Acura Wanted $97.00 for front brakes and $135.00 for Rotors.
And Paragon Acura Queens wanted $94.00 for front brake’s and $150.00 for rotor’s.
I did some research on-line and I found the brakes for Half the price at
www.dchautomotiveparts.com and www.acuraautomotiveparts.org/acura/jsp/mws/home.jsp |

If those are unacceptably noisy and dusty, I will return them to tire rack and order Acura OEMs
Thanks for sharing your info. |

Before I return them I did the process of elimination
I resurface both Brembo Rotors and I use the same hawk brakes, I made sure my lug were Torque at 80ft lbs.
Same resorts dusting, squeaking and Vibration felt like the brakes had no pads.
Next I brought Genuine Honda Brakes and one genuine Rotor. On my left Wheel I had the Brembo Rotor (Again I resurface the rotor) and hawk brake.
On Right side the New Genuine Honda Rotor and the hawk brakes. The hawk brakes did perform much better with the Honda rotor but very dusty. On the other side FORGET ABOUT IT. Brembo Rotors and Hawk brakes just don’t get along. |

FWIW, I have been running Brembo blank rotors and Hawk HPS pads on my '92 Legend for >3 years with great results. Better stopping power, less brake dust, and better wearlife. Certainly may not be the same on the MDX. Don't need to try for a while.
As far as ceramics are concerned, I switched my former Volvo XC90 to EBC Red ceramic/carbon mixed pads and after a breakin where squeeking was expected, they also performed better than Volvo OEM and with MUCH less dust.
So, in conclusion....YMMV. |
