Just switched from a Treo to an iPhone and am having problems originating a call from the iphone and having it automatically switch to the HFL.
The pairing process is complete. HFL transferred 75% of my contracts to the internal phonebook, which was great, but I have alot of contacts, so I didn't expect them all to transfer.
So, if I place the call and say "transfer," no phones have been found. If I press the HFL option on the phone, nothing happens. If I am on the phone and get into the car, the call will not automatically transfer over.
The call recipient has to pick up first, then if I press the HFL on the phone, the call transfers 50% of the time. Incoming calls through the HFL are ok.
Maybe the Treo just worked better with HFL, but thought I would ask if anyone had the same problems.
Thanks,

| Hmm...I have an iPhone with 1.1.4 and have not had this problem. But here's what I've noticed: you have to say "Transfer" both to send a call from your iPhone to the HFL, and vice versa. In both cases, it will only work if the call is in progress. Meaning, someone has to actually be on the line (i.e. can't just be ringing). |

Thanks for the reply. Having to say transfer during a business call, holding the phone or having it on speaker while I wait for someone to pick up is pretty inconvenient, but maybe I was just spoiled by the Treo's integration with the hfl.
I do hope a future upgrade will solve this issue.
Thanks,
