I was at my dealer the other night for a "car college" they put on. Didn't really learn much, but they gave me a $30 off service coupon and I won a seat towel which is great because my daughter is a competitive swimmer.
I asked about an iPod interface and was told that the new interface will appear on 2009 Acura models and can currently be seen on the 2009 TSX. It is a USB port. Plug in your iPod and the Navi dial acts like the iPod click wheel. Sounds great except for those of us who already have an Acura. For us, we get nothing. No retrofit kit, zilch, nada, zip. Not very good support for current customers if you ask me.
I went with a Griffin Tuneflex. Works nicely, but I still have to operate everything except the volume from the iPod.
Anyone have experience with a 2007-2008 MDX and the until made by Dice? It has an XM emulation mode so if you are willing to give up XM (and I am) it will use the Navi screen and give full control. |

I am sure that you can retrofit the USB port into the older MDX's by adding a few wires and changing out the radio, the navi 4.xx version should still be the same.
The dice unit is good if you want to see everything like title and such, but if you want a more reliable method, the USASPEC HON2Y is the way to go. |

| What makes the other unit more "reliable" than the Dice? |

WTF? Lame, lame, lame.
Seriously, this is inexcusable.

The dice unit has had a few problems with it already, such as erasing ipods with the TL. Also people have complained the AUX jack is flimsy and will break off at the slightest tug. |

My friend has a TL (no navi) and he uses the Dice without a problem. Odd. |
