We just upgraded our 2005 MDX Tech to a 2008 MDX Tech w/Power Tailgate. Thanks to these forums again for providing valuable info on our 2nd MDX.

The liftgate is a great feature. The MDX now feels like it's in the same class as Lexus, BMW and MB. If only we could get some real wood (hello Acura?)
I was going to buy out the 2005 MDX, it was immaculate with only 32k miles but the 2008 is much nicer both in form and function. This might be the one I keep for 6-7 years. |

Ya know that's where Regina's Acura dealer fell short... we originally purchased an 07 Demo (base mode), but the next day (prior to picking it up) I thought it over and looked at the deal - 7k off a brand new 08 Tech! I went there and told them and they had no problem canceling the original contract and making out a new one for the 08 Tech.
Too bad I didn't give the Elite any thought - but had the dealer here told me what all the differences were between the tech and the elite and with a difference in price, there is a very high likelihood I'd have bought the Elite.
Oh well, I'm happy with the Tech anyhow :-) |
