Why yes I do :) Same here mostly sport bikes.
I haven't been riding much in the past year and a half. Oct 2006 I broke my back, fractured my L1 in a track day crash getting ready for a race. Now I have some titanium bits and pieces supporting the area. I've been mostly playing around the neighborhood on my scooter. The only motorcycle rides where to the bike shop to put a few bikes on consignment. I plan to ride again it's just a matter of time (so the wife doesn't flip)
He's the run down of my current bikes:
`93 Ducati 750SS - race bike
`03 Ducati 749S
`04 Ducati Multistrada
`04 Aprilia RSV1000R Factory - race bike
`04 Aprilia Rally scooter

I'm riding more often now that the price of gas is high.
Upgraded to 08 from 05 FJR. Couldn't be happier. At least I got to twist the throttle without paying a premium for the price of gas. |

nice stable ya got there. What track organization do you ride with down there?
I love sport bikes but unfortunately due to my crash a few weeks ago i may be strictly a track junkie after it gets fixed. Gf isnt to happy about it and I have to remember everything i do is about us now. |

In Texas I raced CMRA and when in Atlanta, Georgia WERA. It's never been better for track days, there are so many popping up in Texas and around the country. I've done Lonestar, Ridesmart, and a few organized by local dealers in Texas.
My track days are over I can't risk a high speed crash. Though I still feel the track is a safer place to ride most of the time. I'll be limited to slow street rides to keep the peace. My bikes will definitely change, once I sell the Aprilia, 749S and Multi I'll probably get a Hypermotard.
I don't know what your riding level is but I'm big fan of riding schoosl to hone your skills. Even after track days and racing for +5 years I've taken lesson from a couple of AMA/club racers, track day instructors and finally in `06 the Kevin Schwantz School and they're all good. The Schwantz school was a complete blast those Suzuki GSXR-600 are great track bikes.
Everyone get out there and ride! :) |

Wow, thats awesome man. Im barley getting into track because its aparant by all my friends and gf im getting a little to fast for the street so its better to harness that energy to somewhere safe and i agree 100% before something bad happens.
my friend just picked up a KTM and that thing is beyond fun to ride
Around here there is nesba and STT but in 2-3 years me and the gf are heading out to CA so I gotta look for some new places to ride with.
Once i hit the track I definatly wanna get all the lessons i can from the CR's and anybody else who's willing to help me out so i agree with ya 100% about riding schools. There is a school here im gonna jump into that teaches you advanced street techniques. Same with my friend who teaches a class all about slow riding. |
