My mdx is only 3 weeks old... I don't even have the plates on it yet!!! G'dammit!!!! Why are people such inconsiderate a-holes???

Its tiny and not visible if I look at it straight on, but its right on the upper character line, so the light reflects off of it and interrupts that line. And worst of all, since I know its there now, I'm always looking for it when I look at the front passenger door.

I'm pissed.

Yea, door dings are inevitable. :3: You can always get paintless dent removal.

yes I fear that very same thing, I am planning to get some side moldings to help prevent that, but my car bieng black is not gonna help either.

I've never had paintless dent removal done but would love to see good before and after pics to see how effective it is.

Yeah, I know the feeling. Mine came about when it was 4 weeks old. It pisses me off everytime I look at it. I finally got the side molding but I dont think it helsp much as it sits so low on the panel. My strategy is to park further away or a spot on the end where one side has no car or park between 2 very nice expensive cars. Thats just me. Probably won't make a diff.

Paintless Ding Removal is my last option. But I'm not sure if it would make anything loose inside the panel afterward. Then I'd have to deal rattling/vibration noice. Anyone has done it, please chime it. Thnx

Yeah, I used Dent Wizard a few years ago for a humongous door ding on my last car. It was a deep ding complete with chipped paint. They were able to get the dent out, but nothing could be done about the paint. They did a pretty good job.

This ding, on the other hand is so small that it is prob not worth getting it repaired. It just bugs the shiz out of me since I know its there and I can't stop looking at it.

I had a ding about 4" long removed by the "paintless" people here. They did an excellent job. Now I cannot see where the dent was located even though I know the area where to look.

I do not know that all places are equally good, but the one I used is superb.

I had 2 quarter sized dings on the body line removed by PDR and there is no evidence of the dings existence. Good quality work.

I had 2 dings removed a couple of months ago. This is in spite of me taking great care in where I park, usually waaay out in isolation. They were relatively small but one was also on the character line so it was very obvious. Bugged the hell out of me. More so after several people I know had pointed out that my car had been dinged.

I went with a mobile paintless dent removal company. The guy that did the job was also the owner. He used to work for Dent Wizards and has been doing this for 8 years. So in the parking lot of my office, he took about half an hour to completely remove the dings.

Looking at his tools, it was nothing fancy. A suction device to hold on the door panel, a board to slide between the window and the door (presumably to protect the glass), and the special tools which looked like a set of miniature golf clubs which goes between the window and door panel and is used to push the dent out. After he was done and polished the door panel, there was no way to tell the door had been dinged.

Bottom line is if it bugs you, get it fixed. Especially since your car is so new.
