anybody getting an airbag error message? I picked up a new 2008 MDX Sport on April 12. Dealer just got the car in and advised that there was an error message on their final inspection, likely due to a loose connector. Anyway, I took delivery (if there was a little message sign in the upper corner of the map guide, I did not see it-hey I was too excited!. So that was a Saturday night and I drove home. Monday morning I start the car, run thru the menus, and note 62-1 (I think) message stating that the airbag system may not be working properly. I call the dealer service and they say they may not have cleared the message from the memory. So they instruct me to push the 3 buttons together and clear the memory. A few minutes later, message comes back. Also, now I sometimes get the big yellow airbag warning light in the middle of my front dash gauges. So I bring it to a different Acura dealer (closer to my home) and they diagnose a faulty seatbelt sensor. The new part takes 9 days to arrive. They tell me the car is safe to drive. I take it in, wait about 90 minutes, and service manager is just about to give me a loaner, when they tell me car is fixed! I drive out and light goes on! Again I return and he says he forgot to clear out the memory, drives it around the building, and says everything is fine. Dealership closes as I drive 40 miles home. A little later light returns! Next morning I call dealer and demand he bring me a loaner which he does. Next day he calls me and says he is not sure about my warning light but the harness had a suspicious resistance reading so they would replace it. Two days later,I have my car back..........anybody else have airbag warnings on a new MDX?

they used the words plug, connector, sensor , "bad connection" and re-assured me that the airbags were available the whole time if I would have had an accident. They came to my house, left me a loaner, and returned a couple of days later to switch out vehicles. I am happy!
