Front left lower ball joint replacement

Hi ,
I took 2001 mdx to dealer for front suspension springs recall and he advised front left lower ball joint has play + vehicle pulls to right.
Any help on how to replace ball joint including lower arm ?
Or is it better left to dealer ?
He quoted 460 (including wheel alignment) .
