Has anyone used the refills for their rear wiper blades or changed the whole assembly?

Most people just do the refill, because the whole assembly is almost impossible to put on with the guard.

I just got one at Pep Boys last week. You want the narrow refill. If you look carefully at the right end (passenger side end), you'll see where you need to pinch it to pull it out. The one I bought came with the metal rails so I just slid the new one in until it locked in. Very easy.

Taken from a post from nightguy.
1. Pull the wiper assembly away from the glass.
2. Bending the refill and blade slightly pull on the right side of the refill toward the middle of the of the assembly until it is free from the end bracket/clip.
3. Release the refill from the left side pinch bracket.
4. Slide the entire refill straight out.
Reverse for installation.
