| I test drove the MDX tech and the ride seemed a bit too firm for my liking. My question to you guy is, would the ride be a bit softer with the sport model in comfort mode? I come from a 2006 4 runner which really isolated me from the road quite nicely, but the thigh support was BRUTAL for tall drivers (6'4"), and the MDX is very comfortable for me. There are great deals now on the MDX as well. Please let me know your thoughts. |

| Toyotas do isolate you from the road. If that is what you are looking for, an Acura product may not be in your future. Acuras are more "drivers'" cars in that they let you "feel" the road more so than some other brands. The comfort mode would be a little softer ride but I don't think it would be anywhere close to a Toyota ride. Good luck with your decision. |

A Lexus should be on your list if you want a cushy ride.
All of my Hondas and Acuras, even the Odyssey, have a firm ride, which is surprising for a minivan. My wife is OK with the MDX in comfort mode though, but that gets switched back to Sport when I'm at the helm. |

| Problem is the thigh support STINKS on the RX, seems like many Toyotas do not cater to tall drivers. |

| Have you tried the Saturn Outlook/Buick Enclave/GMC Acadia? These may be more up your alley. They should cater to a taller driver plus give you the softer ride you are after. |

Well, I'm looking at something to finance or lease for 2 years at 18k miles per year. The latter is something I would do with the CX9, since they offer great deals. Financing an american car for 5 years just scares the bejesus out of me. Between the reliability questions, terrible resale, etc...not a smart move. ALSO, those things are selling pretty good it seems, so hard to get good deals. |

| Without a doubt the sport is softer in comfort mode :) ...i just drove a tech for about 5 days and that is what i hated ...in the rough back roads it was harsh ....and on the highway too soft ....with my sport i get a choice ...TOTALLY worth it :29: |

| It's significantly softer ...when you drive it today you'll see ...drive them back to back on the same road to compare ...i was fed up of getting jolted in the tech ..no offense to the tech owners ...but the sport comfort mode is way cushy compared to the tech. |
