Has anyone taken there MDX in yet for a Schedule Maintenance Check up? I've driven mine to about 23k miles now and only brought it in for an ocassional oil change and minor services.
Will the MDX tell you when to bring it in? Because the dealer called me yesterday and ask me when I wanted to bring it in for a service. Had no idea that it needed one. Was this just a way for the dealer to try and rip me off?

That depends. What service did they recommend? Your manual will dictate what should be done and when. A lot of dealers (for all manufacturers) will throw together their own service packages. I personally consider these a waste of money. Rip off to me implies that they are going to charge you for something and not do it which I don't think is the case here.
The vehicle will prompt you with service reminders if they have not been reset. It sounds like when you take it for oil changes, they have been resetting it. |
