I finally found a really nice used MDX in my price range and now I find I can't import it into Canada because Acura will not give me the necessary paperwork!
Anyone know how to get around this?
Thanks,

What paperwork do you need, you need title, state odmeter reading, some type of out of state driving permit? Oh yah Bill of Sale, the dealer is an idiot if he cannot get you that, they do not want your business do not go there, I can reccomend a good Acura dealer and saleman that can get you what you want, no hassle.
As for recall clearance letter, check with RIV.CA and see if you need the letter, most times they just look up the vehicle themselves, PM if you need any help I just bought a Tech/Entertrainment 2008, Dark Nimbus Grey for 45k and had 0 problems, from wiring the money to the border, to inspection , federal and provinical. |

| I reciently brought over an 07 MDX from Florida into Alberta. The dealer gave me the print out of the Recall Clearance letter from his computer. You do need this letter as Canadian Tire will require it to complete your out of country inspection. Other than that the only thing you will have to get installed is the daytime running light kit, I recomed getting it done someplace other than canadian tire. I got mine done at a shop that used relays instead of the cheap kits canadian tire will install. It was about $220.00. |

| Thanks everyone for your replies - during the time we were looking for an MDX a fully loaded Sienna with a deal not to pass up came across our laps - so, my wife has a new car to tote the kids around and I'm starting to save once again for an MDX for me in the near future! |

szutter, 07 mdx comes with daylight running light.
I imported one to canada recently and cdn tire approve the
inspection. No mods were done to the SUV. I think you got
jip by cdn tire. |

| that is correct, the 07/08 MDX does not need daytime running lights as they are already there, read your manual, also if you tell riv what model/make you have, when they send you form 2 I think after you send them form 1, you dont need that recall letter. I know because I phoned them. They just look it up on the honda site. |
