| I found a good place to buy brake parts, especially for Canadian. I bought some brake discs and pads from www.autopartsway.ca; every order over $75 CND will be free for shipping. My 1st order: two front discs $52 CND each plus 5% GST, it’s free shipping by UPS, I got parts within two days (from Toronto to Montreal) with good condition. The disc brand is Mountain (made in Japan by Toyota), very good quality. So I made my 2nd order: front pads $41 CND (PBR Ultimate – Ceramic) and rear pads $32 CND (PBR Deluxe) plus an air filter $17 CND to qualify for free shipping, I got my parts in six days by UPS (from Vancouver to Montreal). I did my 03 MDX brake job last weekend, WOW what a big difference! Also the air filter is OEM quality. The new brake pads are much better than OEM pads, no any noise and low dust (BTW there were no shim come with the pads, I reuse my OEM shim). I am very satisfied. |

Good info...thank you for posting it. How long did the brake job take you for front and rear? Did you consider flushing the lines?
Thanks |

It took 3 hrs to change the front discs and pads and 1.5 hrs for the rear pads. Because I cleaned and oiled every reused piece; it took some time. I only have 74 km on my 03 MDX, but some brake parts are already very rusty. . For safety reason, I always double check for bolt tight.
BTW, I ‘m not planning to flush the lines now, the brake system are still Ok. |
