I just noticed that the volume level on the AUX port is separate from AM/FM, 6 disc, and XM. What I mean is if I set the volume to 15 on the AUX. Change to AM/FM and set it 10 that when I go back to the AUX it's at 15. Then when I go back to AM/FM it's at 10. Seems the volume is the same for AM/FM, 6 disc, and XM. But AUX has it's own setting. Now that is cool.
Something else I have noticed is piping Sirius from my Stiletto 2 through the AUX port sounds so much better than the stock XM. Hmmmm, that's strange but great. I love Sirius channel 22 First Wave. It brings back so many memories of my college years. |

| It's a cool feature ...noticed it does that a while back when I realised you can do a different volume when on the HFL compared to the radio also.. So you can set the volume so you can hear people well ...and then next time the volume is there "preset" regardless of what the radio/xm etc. was on. |

my Acura's sound system is just plain LOUSY .... the volume maximum is not loud enough to even wake up a sleeping baby.... is there any way of getting it louder? I am REALLY disappointed with this output maximum ....
....My Acura is brand new ....2008 model with every conceivable option .... money coming out of my pocket was not even a question at the time of purchase. If I could turn back the clock I would say .... take the radio thingy out of the dash and i will get a specialty audio/video shop to install one ....one that actually even plays an ipod properly.....
By the way my Acura looks EXACTLY like the photo above (white, mags, etc) ... but i must say, the acura SUV is built like a tank. I got rear ended by some knuckle-head in a 91 mustang and really at high force i might add... and the bumper crumpled and the tail pipe and muffler are toast ... but the rest of the truck was virtually untouched..(my neck doesn't feel to good though) |

Hmm, that's odd. My ELS sounds tremendously lould. I normally leave FM/CD/XM volume at 10. Ocassionally pump it up to 13-15 to listen to my dvd-audio/dts collection. If I turn the volume to 20, my ear-drums probably pop out in no time. You might want to compare with other MDX's at the dealer or at least have it checked out.
BTW, they should make more of the 6 channel dvd-audio. It's quite hard to go back to regular cds with 2.1 channel. |
