Friday night, I was just leaving the golf range, I went to start up the MDX and found it quite odd that there was no "Welcome" on the MID. The only gauge lights that were on were VSA, Engine, Airbag as I turn the key to I. All other icons were dark. The car started but gauge lighting remained the same. Messages on the NAV screen complained about a code U0155, Engine/Transmission/VSA/Traction Control. I was able to drive it home. The ride felt normal except it stayed in Sport mode. I could not go into Comfort mode since that switch appeared to be busted too. The tailgate was stuck. Found all this to be very troubling so I took it into the dealer Saturday morning. The shop foreman was stumped. He asked if it had been in a wreck and I told him no. So far, no update from the dealer. Wondering if anyone on this forum ran into a similar issue.

I'm in Northern California. I've got a 2007 MDX Sport with about 12,500 miles on it.

I'm in the market for a sport/ent as well. I do hope the dealer would be able to pin point the problem & fix it right the first time.

P.S. can anyone confirm this code U0155 relates to Lost Communication With Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) Control Module?

Yikes! I'm about 3000 miles behind you. Where did you bring it?

I am guessing this is not a common thing since no one knows what it is and I'm sure people have passed that mileage for sure in a sport. This is what i know about the code since this occurs in honda cars e.g. accord also:

U0155 (F-CAN malfunction/gauge control module)

I would say maybe it's a communication problem between the F-CAN (controller area network) and the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) They will have to connect the Honda Diagnostic System (HDS) and update the PCM most likely then test the seperate BUS lines to see if there is a short or something ...if everything else works fine they will replace the modules for the gauges as a last resort I guess.

Warranty will cover the repairs for sure unless it's messed up because you did some digging/wiring of goodies :) that may have caused a problem...if you changed/added nothing recently and it's doing this then I can't see an issue at the stealership to get it fixed upder warranty :p

Keep us informed as to how it goes !!

Fab: Brought it to Autowest Acura at Stevens Creek.

King: No mods to this X. All accessories were dealer installed. No problems at all with the Service Manager. He recognized that it was still under warranty and even provided a loaner '08 TL. I've always wanted to take one of these out for a test drive and now I have it for a few days. Great car. If the regular TL can leave this grin on my face, I wonder what the Type-S will do. :) I just wish they came in SH-AWD.

UPDATE: Just got the car back from the dealer. The issue was a bad "COMBO METER". $500 part plus labor. Am I glad it's still under warranty. The X seems back to normal now. I'll be testing it out some more to make sure all is well. Let's see how it does long term.

Good to know it's solved :29:...500 bucks !! hmmm... gotta love warranty ..that's why i extended mine ...the costs of these little parts that can go bad are so expensive. Hopefully that's the end of that problem :)
