| I called Acura yesterday and had them check to see if the new 2009 Navigation Disk would work in my 2007 MDX and give me real time weather icons on the map display. They said that the 2009 Navigation System had a hardware change to the navigation system and would not work on my 2007 MDX. |

Let me get this straight0
The'09's have real time weather?? |

Yes, the new 2009 TSX Nav has small Icons on the Map that say: Rain, Wind, Sunny. It is not the same as a computer Weather Web page with a weather radar showing rain storms.
It also has a Window that has the weather Info on it.
The service will cost more on a monthly basis.
Here is a web page that shows it.

I think I would rather invest in a new phone that has data downloads of weather web pages showing the real time radar maps. |

| ^^ Lol :) ...reminds me of XM nav traffic ..how many people use that or are willing to pay extra for it :p |

It's an interesting feature, though much like the traffic feature, one that I wouldn't pay extra for. Soon, I'm sure that we'll all be driving around with real-time doppler radar, et al. For now, however, I'm content to have a little arrow showing me where I am on those rare occasions that I'm somewhere unfamiliar.
Regards,
Adam
PS - The real crime here is that the iPod/usb functionality cannot be retrofitted to older MDXs. |

I just go outside, lick my finger and hold it up in the air. I am very good at determining weather. Most people on the TV "predicting" the weather don't have a Meteorologist Degree. In fact here in Sacramento we have a guy doing our weather that use to be the host for the bird shows at Marine World (now known as Six Flags Marine World) in Vallejo.
Initially the XM NavWeather seemed like a cool feature but it's not needed. Just the same as the XM NavTraffic is not needed and it's not very accurate. |
