I have a month old 08 MDX, Tech and Ent package. Yesterday, the car won't start. I felt the car acutally started, then somehow it got shut down. The gage dash went dark too. All lighting was fine. Nav and center console lighted up too. Seats and doors had power, but I lost control to all windows and moon roof. I still can use my fob to open all the windows. It's just very strange to me.

Before this, I have the car for AC repair. I have no cool air from driver side (both front and back). Dealership said there were leak pipes and repleaced pipe and recharged AC system.

I'm not sure if it is related.

Just take it back to the stealar...its brand new !

If he cannot fix it take it to another dealer in your area.

I'd call Acura Plus and have it towed to the dealer and get a demo until it's fixed. That's what you paid the big bucks for.

Did it throw any codes on the screen thing ??... if not then +3 to towing it in on the back of a truck and letting them deal with it at the stealership...by the way you shouldn't even have to pay for the tow truck or anything with the acura care service ...just a reminder.

No, there is no code showing. I had just towed to the dealership. They were asking me to bring all the keys. They think they may need to reprogram the keys.

Thanks everyone, I took to the dealership. And, they said the main fuse was blown, but don't know why. The battery were dead too due to a front reading lights on.

They put a new battery and fuse. They will observe for a day to see what happened.

Are they telling the truth? I asked them if there is any short circuit? They say no. I remembered right before the car die, it was stated raining. Do you think I should ask them to check something else?

Don't know why you require a new battery...couldn't they charge the one you had? After all, it was drained by the lights being left on. Is it a warranty replacement? Otherwise I expect it's an expensive battery from Acura.

As far as blowing the main fuse, if they replaced it and it did not blow again then you are probably OK. Could have been a faulty fuse that got a spike somehow.

I did not request to replace the battery. Dealership did on their own. BTW, it's under warranty since my car is only 1 month old.

I have a very good relationship with the dealership. All of my Acuras are serviced and maintained there. Overall, I felt they were doing the good job.

Except last time, when they fix my AC, the cover under the glovebox were not put back properly. But the service manager told me, it will not cause the fuse problem.

That's good news on the battery replacement. You may never have another problem with the fuse but if you do at least you have the problem on record in your warranty period. I'm curious, was there a problem with the keys or was that just a first guess by the dealer?

They thought it was immobilizer problem at beginning. But it was not. Somehow they found out the burn fuse and drained battery.
