| Note that the site notes "Not compatible with navigation radios" so I assume it won't work with navi? |

| Not totally sure. I at least expect the text to show up on the one line display on the radio. Still a better alternative to the DICE implementation which will not co-exist with XM. |

| there is a a new module by phreperial (sp?) that allows you to retain XM and XM text, Get IPOD text, add 2 aux inputs and HD radio. It works with the TL with nav, not sure about the mdx though. |

Compatibility Notes on the Peripheral unit. Number 3 says not compatible with nav traffic on the TL. I would bet that applies to the MDX non-base models also. I ran into the same problem with the installation of the HON-SC1 unit for adding Sirius. There is so much functionality that is passing through the XM unit that it gets is the way.
COMPATIBILITY & INSTALLATION NOTES: [This section will inform you of the specific requirements for your factory radio to be compatible with the PXAMG. These notes will inform you of any issues or circumstances that can affect the compatibility of our product with your radio, audio system, or accessories. Not all Factory radios are compatible with the PXAMG. The PXAMG will only work on models equipped with the specifications listed below. Please check your radio system and verify these requirements before purchasing this part]
1. Radio must have an "XM" button (except Civic) to be compatible. See below
2. Not compatible in vehicles equipped with Rear Seat Entertainment.
3. 2007-2008 Acura TL / TL Type-S equipped with nav traffic are not compatible. |

| In another word, (to me), we should wait for the '09 Acura ipod link's redesign for the MDX. For now, just stick those burnt MP3 to 6 DVDs & you'll be fine. :1: |

If you have nav traffic, the feature is just disabled. There is a video of it all working on youtube as well on an 08 TL-S. |

The only video I could find on youtube was a 2005 TL. Please give us the link to the 2008 TL-S video. Also point us to where you found the data that the nav traffic is disabled and therefore it works. I am a doubting Thomas until I see hard evidence. Thanks.

Thanks.
I wonder if that TL-S has the navtraffic/Acuralink? I don't use the navtraffic either and am not paying for the service. But the hardware is still in my vehicle. The XM unit in the Technology and greater MDX's is not a standard XM unit, and not the one that comes in the base. There is alot of functionality (Acuralink, navtraffic, blue tooth) that is coming from and passing through the XM unit. Now I sure hope I am wrong. But I spent quite a bit of work trying to get the Directed HON-SC1 to work in my MDX tech. It too plugs into the 14pin connector at the back of the head unit. Just mabye Peripheral has figured out how to implement their product with the XM unit in the Tech package.
Are you going to try it out? If so, please let us know how the install goes. |

It looks promising. If I can talk the wife into it I'll try it out ;-) I'll let you know how it goes!
Did you ever get the Directed HON-SC1 to work? |

| No, I never go it to work. I ended up buying a Stiletto 2 with a car dock and plugging it into the AUX port. |
