| WARNING: Have had a number of incidents involving understeer in my new MDX. Since Thankgiving, it's been a dream to drive..until I just reached for the cell phone. The MDX has NO FORGIVENESS on tracking! Hit the shoulder warning ribs of Route 78 almost instantly. Thank God for the NJDOT program of warning ribs! During a January snowstorm, lulled into comfort and warmth driving back from RI. Suddenly a drift at normal speed! Hit the shoulder which had traction ( gravel, etc ), slowly eased the baby back. Cleaned my seat to say the least. CONCLUSION: Drive the MDX 'Full time' !!!, it is not a luxury car with a lot of play in the steering ! This is a warning to novice drivers who never handled a large truck ! The MDX is so tight on the steering/wheel play , you may find yourself over an embankment before the cell phone rings. It may be St.Peter calling !! |
