Do you cry more now then when you're a teenager?
As far as I can remember that I never use to cry at all back in my teenager days even when I was beat up very bad by teacher, parents or even when I got hit by a car that sent me flying down the pavement with blood all over my leg.
Now I'm closing in on 40s and I find myself really easy to be moved by Movies that touches my hearts or when I think about the future of my children when what if happens.
If this what then said you're getting soft with ages? I don't even speed anymore. I use to go over 100mph whenever I drive. Now I stick with 70 ~ 75 on my cruise control. Heck my wife think I'm too slow as well. Anyone feeling the same? Just curious. |

| I'm hitting 40 in one year. Still the same mentality. No more no less. |

| I would say alot less than before. Thoughts are alot more calculated now. Even when its spur of the moment, I find myself still putting together a gameplan. Not close to 40. |

I hear you on that one. I'm usually crying through the touching parts of movies. My daughters call it "happy crying". |

Not then and not now.
I feel like crying when I think about some of the opportunities I missed or messed up when I was a teenager, and no I am not talking about life advancing opportunities. |

Definitely. There's a song by a country group called Shenandoah, about his little boy. I can never make it through that song without crying my eyes out......
Even though I have a Mustang, I still drive like a grandpa. It's mine, I'm making the payments, so it's going to be well taken care of and will last.
I think that our life's experiences do this to us......by the time we start getting towards our 40s, the triumphs and tragedies of our lives allow us to feel things far deeper than when we were in our youth. You find that the more good and bad you experience, the deeper your soul becomes.
Quoting C.S. Lewis, "Experience: that most brutal of teachers. But you learn, my God do you learn. " |
