Navigation stuck on diagnostic screen

downloaded new (4.62) nav update. worked for a while. next time I turned on ignition, it was stuck in diagnostic screen. I can get to map by holding down CANCEL, MAP/GUIDE, and MENU for 5 sec then NAV then EXIT DIAG. But I would rather avoid this annoyance. Any ideas?
