My apologies if the issue below has been addressed in another post, I searched using various key words and nothing came up that matched my issue - just throwing this out there to see if anyone else has experienced the same issue.
Both my wife and I have programmed settings into the memory (for seats and mirror) up until about a month ago everything worked fine (i.e. she opens the car with her fob, her settings change, I open with my fob and it changes to my settings).
Recently, I have noticed that on occasion, when I or she opens with our fobs, the seats and passenger mirror move into the appropriate position but then the driver side mirror moves and continues to move down and then just starts clicking like crazy and doesn't stop until I push the red memory button. At which point, I then push the red button again and push the numbered memory to get to my settings, and the settings are lost. I then have to reposition the mirror and then program it again.
This has happened intermittently and just wondering if anyone has any ideas/suggestions. This only happens on the driver side mirror. |

| I recall someone saying it may be the mirror motor. |

It's either the mirror motor itself or the brain that controls the seat memory function. Most likely the motor but the dealer can determine which one. |

How old is your car battery? Mine (2001 MDX) was 7 years old and odd things like that started to happen. Then I changed the car battery and it totally forgot position #2. It wouldn't even relearn it. I had to put the thing into "diagnostic mode" and it cleared something. Then I was able to reprogram the seat memory settings.
I don't have the diagnostic mode instructions with me, but it was something like, turn the key to "run" (don't start the car" and hold all 3 buttons (MEM, 1 and 2) for 2 seconds. Then press 1 and 2 together, it should cause the lights to blink together. Then turn off the key.
Then go ahead and program the set memory normally. |
