| I have a USA Spec PA11-HON2y awaiting installation in a 2006 MDX w/NAV+RES. Does anyone have some links to a kind, pictures, etc., on how I install this? |

| I should be getting mine by tomorrow from Crutchfield. I will be installing tomorrow. As of now, I have the dash trim removed. I will post pictures when I'm done. |

this weekend I finally installed my PA11-HON in my 04 touring non nav/res.
this was very simple using both links to the blitzsafe installs. props to those guys as it made this very easy.
first using the link to the easy method of removing the NAA and 12v cubby section in front of shifter, I managed to connect the stereo connection without the need to remove the whole stereo. the extra wire was just twist tied/stuffed into an area to the right of the stereo, the PA11 end of the connection was then just snaked to the area underneath the shifter surround.
then using the link to Wazowski's install i was able to remove the shifter surround, cup holder, & cd tray, once all was removed I drilled a hole on the cd tray just like in wazowski's thread but the hole i had to drill was a little larger due to the ipod cable for the PA11, added a grommet then procedded to push the PA11 end of the ipod cable thru the access hole in the armrest console. (this was a PITA, I had to pry up the bottom of the access hole for the connector to fit) once in snaked it to the PA11 & put CD tray back in place.
made all connections, cleaned all the dried up soda and crumbs peformed test to make sure it worked & screwed and snapped it all back together. pics to follow, 45min procedure |
