I was sitting in the X today waiting my wife at the store killing time listening to the radio when I noticed a slight "buzz" to the bass which seemed to be coming from my door. I have never noticed it before but rarely have I had the opportunity to sit quietly in the car with the engine off and no kids. So I get out of the car and put my ear to drivers door speaker and sure enough the bass is a bit fuzzy. The other three door speakers sound good when inspected. It is quite subtle as there are so many other speakers to mask the buzz but now that I have discovered it it is driving me nuts.
Any suggestions? Loose connection, loose speaker, or blown speaker? Has anyone had their door panel off as I assume that is how the speaker comes out. Any guess on cost to replace if I need a new one? |
