No GPS on Canadian MDX? - Click HERE for Original Thread

I have ordered my MDX up here in Toronto, but I wonder why we Canadians don't get the option of a GPS on that funky little screen? After all, the MDX is built here!

I know BMW offers GPS in Canadian models. Any idea why we Canucks get the short end of the stick?
One dealer told me that it's because apparently they didn't have a french version in time. This may be true, and may be not.

I was told "it" wasn't ready yet. They don't have the Canadian roads and sites available yet or something to that effect.
Bummer. I was looking forward to it.

(Actually, my friend with the X5 got the GPS thingy, and she says it's cool for the first little while, but actually pretty useless)
Well I have heard that Acura has some major cities in Canada maped already (Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal and a few major roads in Calgary) but the thing is that there just isn't a big enough market for a Navigation system in Canada. I talked to an Acura dealer and he said that they might come out with a Canadian version soon.

Hopefully cause I think its a great system. Also another issue is cost, the Navigation system in the US costs about $2000, so up here in Canada it would be a $3000+ option, pretty pricey but worth it in my opinion.

Thanks
Evan
