Mileage 20,100 in the past 4 months since my last oil change, I am receiving an intermittent Oil Level Warning message. Of course the oil level is fine. It appears to be a software bug or sensor.
Has anyone else had this intermittent problem and/or know of the fix? My dealer is checking the Honda knowledge base, but so far no service bulletins have been issue. Dealer has mentioned that my MDX is not the first reported problem of this sort. |

I think so, what does your MID say for the oil life? |

| I am thinking he is saying, the X currently has 21,000 on it. In the last 4 months, he is receiving a intermittent Oil Level Warning message. If it was 21,000 in 4 months, that would be 5000 a month, or 166 miles every single day. Thats alot of gas money. |

Good observation midnight. I think that's what he meant too. Could have missed a "period" right after "Mileage 20,100".
166miles a day is too much. I was once filled up 3 times a week ($3.90/gal) , burning 1,000 miles a week for 3 consecutive month. |

| If in fact you have gone 20,100 since your last oil change then the first thing I would do is change the oil before I added another mile. If however, you changed the oil within 6000 4 months ago, and the level is good and the oil is not black then relax. Could be anything from a faulty sending unit to ???. Oil warnings are not something I would delay having checked. |

| Did the warnings start immediately after the last oil change? Was it done by a dealer? |

The Oil has been changed every 5K by the Acura dealer. The dealer is installing a new Oil Pressure sensor to fix the problem per the Honda's technicians. The problem is intermittent and has not been related to any specific road conditions or from the last oil change whcih was 200 miles ago.
Apparently the dealer has had several people with a similar problem.
Thanks for all replies. |

| Thanks for the info, my MDX has 22,000 miles and has started doing the same thing. I will take it in to see if it is also the oil sensor. My problem also started within a week of the last oil change. |
