I may have parked my Black MDX near a tree. Now, the windshield has speckles of little dots of the tree saps that makes the windshield and some of the fromt section of the MDX rough to touch.

What is the best way to remove those speckles?

Once removed the X will get another hand detailing job.

Thanks for any suggestion.

Update: Hot water and Palmolive too care of the business. The car wax of course got stripped. Car is washed and dried. Bout #2 is for wax job.

Same thing happened to me. I used hot water and car soap and it cleaned up real well.

Buy a clay bar.Mothers have a box with detail spray, carnuba wax and the claybar all in one.Bought mine at walmart will take all that off with no elbow grease.Just foolow the instructions. This a really good way to clean your paint just wax after you are done. F1swede

Just a little plain old rubbing alchol and you will not have to do any rubbing. Or turpentine, acetone or whatever you have lying around your flamnable locker.

Iso Alcohol works great, if the sap has had time to cure you may want to let a damp rag sit on it for a minute. If it still proves difficult get out a plastic razor blade or step up to a stronger clear coat safe solvent like PPG DX330.

Either of those will strip any wax/sealant so it may need to be reapplied afterward.

i second the acetone. works like a charm on removing anything. i use it regularly on the front of my car to remove dead bugs.
