I just got the first batch in about 10 minutes ago. I have no pics yet because I don't have a digital camera here, but I'll bring them home and take the pictures. I received 10 nighthawk black, and 4 taffeta white. The mouldings are 1 1/4" wide, for the 4 doors, and are tapered at the ends. Very nicely done. But here's the nicest part....they come with body templates to ensure a straight proper fit!!!
They secure in the back with a 3M-type double sided tape. Very nice. You can use online assistant on the customer service area of www.hondacuraworld.com or call me if you have any questions.
Perceived answers:
1. I have no idea what the ETA of other colors will be.
2. I will post pictures the moment I take them.

Where is the recomended location for the moldings? What line of the X do they follow?

The template fits along the upper edge of the door, it measures 6 5/8" down from what they call the "upper character line". There is a cutout for around the doorhandle on the template, the moulding would fit 4 9/16" below the very bottom of the door handle (left front).
Hope this gives a better idea. |

| I didn't see any instructions, everything's pretty much printed on the templates. Really, it's just hang the templates, peel, and stick. |

Not sure where this will relate to the template but my dealer installer mine by running a piece of tape from the "panel gap" in front of the front tire to the "panel gap" behind the rear tire and installing the molding just below that line. Mine looks good and, as I indicated in another post, would have prevented my only ding had they been installed on time. I am guessing that's about the same location as the template install. |

Tim -- Sign me up for a set of white moldings please. We exchanged emails a while back -- I also need a wood shift knob, fender flares, side steps, rear deflector, sunroof deflector, mud guards, cargo tray and cargo net. I'll be calling for the volume discount.
Here's my other question (a little off topic) -- if I buy accessories from you that need to be installed (not the moldings as even a desk jockey like me can handle them -- I'm thinking more the steps and flares) -- will the dealer that I but the X from treat me differently if I show up to pick up the vehicle with "wholesale" accessories that I need the service department to install ($69/hour labor rate, by the way)-- all of this due to the fact that the dealer is gouging customers on accesories in the first place, forcing me to seek alternatives --- but at least I'm getting the X at sticker. |

You will have to contact your dealer's service department to check to see if they will install stuff bought from me. I've yet to see any dealership turn down a service sale on Genuine Acura accessories, so I doubt you'll have a problem.
License plate frames, I've got. I sell them for $45/pair traditionally, and if I don't have the style you want, I can get it. One of the products planned for the next site revision.
Even though I only have 4 moulding sets in white, they aren't the only ones I'll be getting. however, the group buy will end on Halloween so make sure you post in the thread to get credit for the "raincheck". |
