* 2002 Acura MDX five door - 4WD

* We purchased this vehicle brand new and are the only owners.
* Mileage - 100,500 miles
* Engine - 3.5L V6
* Transmission - 5 speed automatic. The transmission was replaced by Acura at 65,000 miles with a whole new unit. They extended the factory warranty and paid for the whole repair. Car has been running great since then with no further transmission problems.
* Interior condition - Excellent. Like new condition
* Exterior condition - Excellent. Car has one minor scratch on the rear bumper and one small dent on front passenger door. Car has been washed/waxed/detailed regularly.
* Mechanical condition - Excellent. Car has been meticulously maintained. Engine oil changed every 3-4K miles. Transmission fluid changed every 10K miles. Detailed service records available. Engine timing belt, tensioner, water pump, and accessory drive belt were replaced at 90K miles.
* Car runs and drives excellent.
* Tires - replaced within the last 12-18 months.
* Car has had an easy life. Mostly freeway miles with just the driver as an occupant most of the time. Its been parked inside a garage most of its life.

The car is so clean and well maintained, that perhaps I overestimated its value.
PRICE IS NEGOTIABLE. Anyone who buys it will be getting a great car in very solid mechanical and physical condition!

| If you don't mind me asking, what types of problems were you experiencing with the original transmission prior to the replacement? My '02 is about to turn 96k miles on the original trans. Thanks in advance. |

For about 3 months prior to Acura replacing the unit, it would occasionally mis shift from 1st to 2nd gear. It would essentially free rev. It got worse with time. Then the check engine light went on and stayed on.
The dealer diagnosed a transmission problem and replace it for free, outside of warranty.
I believe they extended the warranty on the trans for 01's and 02's to 100,000 miles |
