Is this just a 55k or 60k reminder, or has something tripped it? In my old car, I could turn a screw and get a blinking error code that indicated the cause, but i don't know if the MDX has that option?
Bought the '04 touring as a CPO at 48K and it has run like a champ since, but the wife drives it, so who knows what it has been thru :). |

Should just be a reminder. They are based off mileage. If you look in your manual you can find the way to reset it (or wait a day or two and someone will post it in this thread - or search the site and I'm sure you'll find it).
The place you get it serviced should reset it when you take it in next. Sometimes they forget if it isn't on when you bring the car in.
You'll find the light flashes a few times when you turn the car on for a while before it gets to enough miles where it just stays on. Mine is flashing right now. By next week it will probably be on full time and I'll reset it since I'm not due for service for another couple thousand miles. |

If its the Maintenence light, then....
THIS PROCEDURE WILL REQUIRE YOU TO KEEP HOLDING DOWN THE SELECT AND RESET BUTTONS DOWN THROUGH OUT THE PROCESS.
1. While holding down the SELECT and RESET buttons on the odometer. "Use your left hand for this move"
2. Insert key into ignition. "Use your right hand for this move"
3.Turn key to ON position.
4. Hold key and look to see if the display lights on your dash light up.
5. Hold the key in this position for a few seconds. The cars systems will cycle through all the necessary checks/lights and reset itself.
6. Remember to Keep holding down the SELECT and RESET button while turning key to OFF/ON position. Lastly, turn key back to ON. This should reset the "Maintenance required" light. |
