hammermdx, I just noticed you have eclipsed DaleB as the ultimate PW. DaleB seems to have dropped off the face of the planet, probably enjoying his new toy.

midnight, you're catching up scary fast. Do you actually have a life? I know Lionspeed pointed this out before but with the search malfuctioning I couldn't seem to find that thread. Where is he I wonder? Got PO'd by admin? Maybe he left his wife and ran away with FabVsix with a trunkful of Chelada.

Anyways, here's to the PW's of acuramdx.org!:7:

OK, I surrender.

What is a PW?

Thanks and yes I have life, a very good one as a matter of fact. DaleB popped on here a few months ago, so he is alive and well, and PW is Post Whore.
dj-mdx2
I mean that with the highest respect though, not in the original context of being a PW.

Ladies & germs, I'm still here, just not as active as before. Speaking about leaving my wife for the legendary Fabvsix? Now that's a whole new thread don't you think.

PW is Posting Whore & my bet is on midnightmdx. Even though he is 5 years shys from hammermdx, I have no doubt in three yrs max, we would have to crown the official King of PW for midnight.

Peace.
Fabvsix
For the record, I've been very happy with my partner for the past 10 years and have NO plans of leaving them for anyone. Nice gesture!
Happy motoring!

I do have a life. :p Acuramdx.org is just the forum I spend the most time in these days. This is my current interest. I am still learning alot of great info and helping whoever I can. Who knows, I might get bored and decide to go MIA for a short time. I dont think I will catch up to hammer for a very long time. I plan to do a Bio post soon, so you can know who I am. :4: I am just trying to keep the forum alive. :29:

Hey Fab, Lion...

I don't think you have missed much in your absence. It seems like a lot of posters migrating from Edmunds with plenty of posts such as; here is what I paid, how did I do? and on and on...
Fabvsix
I know that.....all its about is:
Oh my MDX is PERFECT from NY.....or is your gasket loose too? How about the vibration in your steering wheel??? Oh no mine is perfect as is my grammar and writing skills!

Life without humor sucks! This place is all about nuts and bolts and how the SEARCH feature doesn't work.....or does it?

Glad to know the peeps are still alive and kickin'. I've been hanging around more on the M3 forums since I acquired one not too long ago. M3forum.net is a LOT more active and forgiving for OT threads and off-color remarks. Miss the action here so I check in every now and then.

Have you ever considered having an Acura TL vs an M3? Just wondering as I prefer the TL while my wife prefers the latter. I prefer the TL because when it is snowing in our area, I see the Bimmers having a hard time especially on curved roads.

I would love a TL-S, not so hot about the new one coming out. If Acura had made it RWD, I might have considered it. The TL is a great daily driver. It doesn't have Sh-AWD yet doesn't it? I wouldn't know about snow - it only makes an appearance here in Alabama about once every 15 years and it actually snowed one day this year.

The M3 is my toy, and it's a blast to drive! The M3 will put a smile on your face and will keep you looking back when you're walking away. I would test drive both and see which car brings the higher smile factor. I do use the M3 as a daily driver though. Another issue is maintenance and repair cost. Obviously the bimmer is murderous to maintain outside the warranty period, the 05+ TL not so miuch, since they apparently changed the transmission. Whatever you decide, both are fun, fast and not attention-grabbing cars.

I'm impressed with the acceleration of the M3. I haven't seen that on a TL yet. My wife would love to have one like that. Like you mentioned, I don't like the higher maintenance and repair cost. Not sure if I should keep my '01 X and get a Bimmer or just replace my X with a newer model.

I'm closing my M3 down for the winter (December - March). I can't imagine driving it in the snow. But then again, that's why I've got the MDX.

These are two very different cars. Probably more fair to compare the TL to a 325i/328i. Having had both (04 TL and 06 325i), they both have their good qualities. The TL feels like a much lighter car than the 325i. The BMW has the German tank feel to it. The MDX actually feels like a lighter vehicle. The TL has a more modern tech feel to it. The BMW has a more classy appearance. As a daily driver, you can't tell much difference in the handling. When you push it, the BMW definitely handles better and no FWD torque steer. Either choice, you can't go wrong.

As for the activity on the forum, the BMW forums are definitely much more active. I come on this site occasionally to check out the latest but find the same threads week after week. This forum has truly been a great resource though from the time I got my 01 MDX to my upgrade to an 07. Definitely got to show some love for the PW on this site that keep it going.
